Heart Of The Matter
Rock Chick
Who is this woman? Quiet, serene,
Gentle, pain and scars unseen,
Broken dreams held in chains,
Deep within, the child remains,
Seeking solace in her time,
Tired of words, preferring mime,
Mimicking who she once was,
A rebel child without a cause,
Dressed in leather, dressed in lace,
Lost in time and lost in space,
By day, she's quiet sophistication,
By night, she welcomes liberation,
Dressing up and dressing down,
The groovy rock chick hits the town,
She's cool in black; and makes a stand,
How she loves to listen to a band.
