I Had A Poem
I had a poem in my head last night
I woke up this morning, it was gone,
It must have blew away with the wind
It had escaped, with the dawn.
I had a poem in my head last night
It was peaceful and fine,
I can't seem to get it back
But, it will always be mine.
I had a poem in my head last night
Now, the words float in the breeze,
Today, I will get those words back
And that will make me pleased.
