Late Night Rambling
As I sit here and read
I sip on my coffee,
Not trying to keep myself awake
Just, trying to sort through things.
Another day of winter passes by
To cold to do anything,
Thinking up, maybe a good story
Or two to make my brain think.
Seconds, turn into minutes
Minutes, turn into hours,
Winter takes a toll on the body
As if, being devoured.
There's a solemn chill in the air
As I sit here and think,
Smoking another cigarette
And looking into my coffee mug, before I take a drink.

As I was writing this, I felt, somehow, like a person writing a novel. Strange.
