Absent Minded

Gifted homeless

It's cold outside
the stars are bright
There's snow on the ground
It's warm inside
I'm alone
Out in the cold
Lost in the darkness
Searching my soul
Battling the depths of sorrow
I hope you never know
Reading between lines
of a better tomorrow
but then again
you're never there

I'm here in this world
striving to reach the top
living in poverty
of a bigger dream
being sold an image for sale
and I'm suffering a lonely man's disease
a sexuality complex of disaster
and a sensitivity to nothing but fear

It's a beautiful world
In the bottom of the barrel
It's a marvelous site
you'll never know
a secret i keep separate from the rest
a sinister smile i keep inside
The beauty i see in each and every face
The Greed and generosity i see
each and every day
