I would like to take this time out
and thank you all for voting
for my poem
"sometimes she just wants to be held"
I never thought in my wildest of dreams
that I could actually win
all thanks to my wonderful, loving
poetic friends...some of you I never even
spoken to, but you still voted for me
to be honest it felt like a gift from heaven
for a moment I let what others said
get to the better of me
but kind words from others
help me realize, that some people
will tear your spirit down
when they're addicted to greed
and some don't care if your heart bleed
but I care
I care about other people feelings
more than I care about my own
to make someone feel beneath you
can only mean you feel beneath the world
yourself and you was in need for company
and I almost was your company
but I rose above the waters
and floated back to shore
writing is something my heart adores
so I'm going to pick up my pen
and place it back to my pad
I'm never going to give up
never going to back down
because that is what keeps me weak
and with frowns
and I like to smile
now if you have any advice
when it comes to my writing
I will accept, because it makes me strong
your self pity..I don't need
if I'm doing something wrong, tell me indeed
because its the truth that a poet needs
in order to grow, and become better than before
once again thank you all from the bottom of my heart
