Why Is It Winter Here?
It's so cold around me
I don't know what went wrong
The biting winds whisper your name,
As if in a piercing winter song
It doesn't even snow,
Ice just collects on the walls…
The sky spells out my heart's last beat
As Jack Frost's sword calls
The clouds pummel me with hail;
A not-so cryptic message of my doom:
This icy death that has befallen me
Has no intention of ending soon
I want to feel the sun;
An eternity of this icy purgatory, I fear
I want the numbness to go away…
Why is it winter here?
