NETBALL

NETBALL

This is for all the biased umpires of the game
Needless to say I won`t do a name and shame.

Fourteen players go on the court
It`s s`posed to be a game of sport,
The whistle goes the game begins
Each team hoping it`s them who wins.

We learn we are up against nine
We all soon start to read the sign,
One rule for them and one for us
Enough to make you want to cuss.

Foot fault, held ball, too close, contact
Doesn`t apply to them it`s fact,
It`s only when WE get the ball
That the biased umpire will call.

If you play bad, you deserve to lose
It`s not up to the umpire to choose,
The game should be ref`d fair and square
Then if we lost I wouldn`t care.

We could have won that game I know
But there you see it goes to show
If the umpire`s on your side
You`ve won the game before you`ve tried.

We were cheated out of this game
And the whole team feels the same
It`s not the first time though you see
But some will just say C`est la vie.

Well refs` your umpiring stinks
You can`t do the job me thinks,
How d`you sleep when the game you fix?
Can only be you drink Horlicks!
