"Almost"

Reaching for tomorrow
Keeping dreams alive
Believing, life is never easy
Knowing my heart will survive.

No need for an answer
Only trust and faith and hope
Always been a fighter
Somehow managed to cope.

No rhyme or simple reason
Don't require any proof
The heart just doesn't listen
It only knows the truth.

Knowing what my needs are
With memories to build upon
Seeing light through foggy clouds
To help me carry on.

Echoes of the past overwhelming
My world she has departed
It was just too good to be true
It was over before it started.

There's a time for holding on
With an art to letting go
The outer appearance is important
Her inner beauty is what I know.

Taking charge of my fate
The timing just wasn't right
Seemingly not my destiny, but
Oh, what a beautiful sight.

I've been searching for the meaning
For the one that I Know
Who'll shine with eyes of happiness
And smile deep within my soul.

Until I learn love takes time
Until I give love a chance
I only know what I don't know
Never before have I felt this romance.

There is no pride in ego
Just an inner strife
With a brand new start I realize
I only need the simple things is life !
