I Think I've Lost My Flavour!
I think I've lost my flavour,
You've lost your hungry look.
I watch you sit in silence
And thumb that lousy book!
I think I've lost my glamour,
You've lost your glowing eyes.
You do not stir when I walk in,
You miss my silent sighs!
I think I've lost my magic,
You've lost your shining smile.
You do not hear my clever words,
Instead you switch the dial!
I think I've lost my newness,
You've lost your look of pride.
You'd rather read the paper
Then take me for a ride!
I think I've lost my sparkle,
You've lost your teasing glow.
So now we sit in silence
And let the empty flow!
Joy Weare.
17th June, 2006.
