Poetry For Everyday People

You And I

I felt cornered,
full,
precious privacy unattainable,
grabbed my pen
to get some air,
pour out
what it is
I no longer need,

learned lessons
ready to pass on,

throwing the poetic
dice of chance,
the lotto of connection,
a far friend's hand
reaching through
livings darkness,

as you read
our possibilities.
