Well I've never met anyone
with your courage
and the way you treat life
sometimes puts me to shame
it takes just a brief pass in time
and now I understand
you are a blessing
you are my treasured friend
You are somebody special
somebody who feels
you're not the first
and you won't be the last
but you are the one
I will always remember
years down the road I will recall
our laughter...our ESP
you are my home girl, my twin
It's God grace
that you always recognize
you have no time nor the weakness for fear
a compassionate woman
you hold people dear
always willing to forgive
always ready to give more of yourself
always close by with a listening ear
You respect yourself
and you let it show
you tell your story
but with refusal for pity or tears
but right now I want to salute you
give you a forever hug
to chase away any sadness
from now until eternity
