Heart Of The Matter
Garden In My Mind
I have a garden in my mind,
Low maintenance for me,
A bit of lawn, a patio,
A weeping willow tree,
I'd have some roses round the door,
A table and a chair,
Some tubs to put some plants in,
And a water feature, there,
I'd have some colour all year round,
Some yellow in the spring,
I'd wait, anticipating,
What summertime would bring,
And autumn time would find me,
Planting pleasure for the spring,
I'd sit there in my garden,
And hear the blackbird sing,
In winter when the snow falls,
I'd photograph the scene,
I have a garden in my mind,
A picture painted green.
