Springtime
We sit,
Eat breakfast al fresco
Beats spending a Saturday morning at Tesco's!
A slight nip
Still in the air,
Spring sunshine glints
Upon his hair.
We notice yellow
A Daffodil,
And the cat asleep
On the window sill.
We see the fresh green
Of the trees,
Swaying in the gentle breeze.
We stand upon
Our newly mown lawn
Still awash,
With dew from dawn.
It sparkles
Like joys tiny tears,
In springtime
I am happiest here.
