M's Poetry

Bonnie & Clyde

We wanted to find love
We wanted success
Until nothing was enough
Until our middle name was excess

Somehow we lost touch
Somehow our car rode out of sight
We have forever left the city
We are prisoners of the night

We was in need of help
Maybe we wanted out
but I just did as I was told
until that one person just blew my brains out

You stoled as a child
I had a pretty girl's  smile
You became my hope
Until the dream broke
and the moments of bliss have stopped

I died without a trial
I never got to see another good Friday
and for all the romance
I didn't die holding you tight
I never saw the dream's ending
I died in the climax of a sequence
it was Route 66 and little did we know
our final dance......
