In times of trouble,
fragile and helpless,
feeling light as a feather,
reaching out to your hand,
clenching it onto mine,
forming angel's wings,
to set them on my back,
and consume the torment.

The sun, always shining,
reflecting on still waters,
radiating warmth in the air,
beaming moisture on my lips,
soothing my dried up tears,
empower me to laugh again,
be strong, with no despair,
just like an angel's wings.

Lord, I thank thee
for keeping me near
to those I hold dear.
