She is the jewel in the golden crown,
And a princess so sparkly and bright,
All dressed up in her finery,
Dressed up fancy every night!
She has long brown hair that she loves,
And is always flicking it over her shoulder!
Gee wiz, oh dear; for she's so fussy now,
Oh yikes, what about when she gets older!
She'll be in her mum's make-up bag,
(Well, actually, she already is)!!
Putting her face paint on all over!
She really can do the biz!
In fact she's an expert at it!
Because she copies her mum every day!
And of course, calls out to me;
‘Nanny look! I'm a Princess!' She'll say!
And flicking her hair all the time,
Over her shoulder, she says to me;
‘Nannie, look at my beautiful hair!
Come over here and see!'
And so I do, I go and look,
And tell her that yes, I agree!
That she is a beauty amongst beauties,
And one beautiful granddaughter to me!
