The Sixth Sense
I often ponder how it can be,
That our eyes are able to see;
An image reflected by light,
Can reappear as our sight.
I often wonder how we hear,
Sound waves enter the ear;
Bouncing freely in the air,
That seems to go anywhere.
I marvel how we can speak,
Communications so unique;
From lips and rolling tongue,
Forcing air from our lung.
Then taste, smell and touch,
The sensations are insomuch;
Either pleasing or to caution,
Of some dangerous function.
God supplied giving us sense,
Helping us as we commence;
But a sixth sense we rarely use,
Since common sense we refuse.
