Captain DanI'm Captain Dan the Pirate The one all the good children know I make ‘em yell and scream with joy At my big top travelling circus show I'm Captain Dan the Pirate The children love having me around Good clean kiddie fun for every one As I lead my band of dastard clowns I'm Captain Dan the Pirate I've been playing him for years How I love childish laughter That's always ringing in my ears I'm Captain Dan the Pirate When the children are out of sight I don my cloak of darkest silk To slide gently out into the night I'm Captain Dan the Pirate But hiding not far underneath Is a creature of nightmare fear With sharpest of sharp teeth I'm Captain Dan the Pirate And maybe I'm insane But I love the intimate feel Of teeth deep piercing vein I'm Captain Dan the Pirate Somehow they never seem to know Death and degradation always follow My travelling big top circus show I'm Captain Dan the Pirate And I hood wink all those fools As I caution children on safety By invitation in their schools I'm Captain Dan the Pirate And I have the deepest need And innocent little children Provide sweetest of sweet feed I'm Captain Dan the Pirate The one all the good children know I make ‘em yell and scream with joy At my big top travelling circus show Vote for this poem
