M's Poetry
Winter Rose
When the last snow has fallen
all seems beautiful, yet no life is here
it's all dead....
I will find that one petal
on that rugged stem
I will remove all thorns
yes somewhere beneath this cold
lies my winter rose
You will still smell like morning dew
you will be my small comfort
that is held in my hand
I will get you to smiling
we will grow together
I will sit you up beside my lantern
your beauty will be in my window
my beautiful reminder
in times that are trying
there is hope it's here in this winter rose
just wait, just wait until spring
you will shine once again
a rebirth of the spirit will start
with just a little faith and this one small petal
