Gates Of Heaven
Will you send the best angels for my mama?
wrap her tight in that heavenly quilt
sing to her lullabies until I get there
I know she will be smiling
for the first time
having that heavenly light hit her hair
make sure you lead her to the gates of heaven
I want her face to be the first I see
Mama how are you doing?
I know fine but I had to ask
maybe it makes me feel better
since I no longer can see you
but I will always feel your presence
and smell your beautiful scent
I still can't believe sometimes you went
but just be at those gates of heaven for me
Gates of heaven, pearly white....
dreaming I am there with you tonight
don't wanna wake but soon I will
with a smile on my face and memories I can spill
of how wonderful it was to see you again....
