Prayer from a Sinful Man
Heavenly Father my Lord,
Here am I on bended knee;
After reading of Your Word,
I come to You with a plea.
For I am just a sinful man,
Breaking nearly every rule;
Ever since my life began,
I have been acting as a fool.
So easily persuaded am I,
Enticed by every single lure;
Being weak I can not deny,
As Satan opens up the door.
I constantly fall in the snare,
After realizing my mistake;
Knowing You hear my prayer,
Because you never forsake.
I ask for mercy of Your grace,
And look for You to forgive;
Cleanse me as You embrace,
And You take my life to live.
