Sometimes I sit and ponder on life,
What a wonderful miracle it is to know,
That people wake up to the morning light,
The whole world all aglow!
As I sit and ponder on peace,
I realize it's a lovely thought,
To know that peace is free,
It can-not be borrowed or bought.
As I sit and ponder on hate,
On this negative emotion so cruel,
Why is it these wars of the world!
Turn out bloodbaths – that allows evil to rule…!
To know that in our hearts so true,
We are gifts of God above,
Why then is it tossed back at Him?
This God that showers us with love!
Can-not these people who are full of hate?
See what it is they do!
Don't they understand the pain?
It causes for me and you!
He gave his son to us to save…
This world from harm and hate!
But what has happened to the peace He wants?
Can't we remove this emotion or is it too late?
Why do people have to be this way?
Don't they ever feel any shame?
Will it end, will peace ever reign…
Or will we war again, and again, and again!
