I Asked The Fox In The Box!
I asked the fox in the box
To get me some purple socks!
I asked the witch in the ditch
To scratch my dreadful itch!
I asked the bees in the trees
To bend their knobbly knees!
I asked the sheep in the jeep
To join me in a leap!
I asked the cow in the shower
To pick an orange flower!
I asked the pig in the wig
To dance a crazy jig!
I asked the seal in the wheel
To cook me a tasty meal!
I asked the cat in a hat
To get me a ball and bat!
I asked the chook in the brook
To read me a funny book!
I asked the snail in the pail
To take me out for a sail!
I asked the snake in the lake
To bake me a chocolate cake!
I asked the dove up above
To find my missing glove!
I asked the goat in a coat
To take me out in his boat!
I asked the man in the moon
To blow me a magic balloon!
Joy Weare.
29th June, 2006.
