Over the Summit
The ups and downs in life,
Filled with toils and strife;
Much as the hills and dales,
Elusive as women in veils.
No matter it would please,
Living not a life with ease;
If thinking you are at the top,
It is merely a halfway stop.
Just as a pendulum swings,
Opposite reaction it brings;
Striving so far then going back,
For momentum that you lack.
In the valley and seeing the view,
Everything looking up to you;
But do not just call it quits,
Try to wear the glove that fits.
But do not climb it on your own,
Let Jesus be your cornerstone;
As God gets you over the summit,
With the help of the Holy Spirit.
