WaltzWe danced a waltz quite naked In that warm summer's night Body moulding tight to body Under softest lunar light Each movement to the music Sending signals saying soon We will each enjoy the other Beneath this hunter's moon Heart is beating faster Whole being is on fire And in the rightness of the music I cannot conceal my great desire We danced a waltz quite naked Later on that summer's night Dawn would soon be breaking Covering us with morning light The dawn chorus bird song Like a dessert to that feast Of fulfilled needs and desires In the two backed beast Each movement to the music Telling each all was fine I thank you for your body Freely given as I gave mine We danced a waltz quite naked Two very special friends Each sadly aware that soon Night was coming to its end Every movement of a body Preparation for the ache When that dance finished With that parting break With that final embrace With the risen sun With a clasp of two hands The dancing was all done Vote for this poem
