He told me he finds it hard to believe;
That I have a love for him so deep,
And I have to say, I understand,
Because his heart did surely weep!
Tossed and turfed, and thrown aside,
Treated like that again and again,
Why what did he do, this lovely man?
That would cause him all this pain!
Nothing, just like millions of others,
He did nothing at all to be hurt,
But hurt he was, callously so,
By angry words she did blurt!
And so he had to walk away,
Start over, all over again!
In heartbreak he trundled through life,
Every day in his life, the same!
Until one day he met this woman,
Who seemed to turn his life around!
And oh what it did for his troubled heart,
For what a wonderful love he has found.
But she also found a true love in him,
And he treasures her every thought,
And in the night when pain's out of sight,
In the comfort for her he has brought!
And he tells her he oft tells himself,
That yes, this love is most true!
Just as she reminds herself every day,
Of the trust he gave back to her too!
And so they live in contentment,
That the love they share is 100 percent,
And they both agree, most definitely;
This love is surely Heaven sent!
So now the future they have and hold,
Is of love, and caring and trust;
They will never hurt each other, no!
For pain free love is a must!
And so when things become so surreal,
That you think it's all going to end;
Remember to hold onto that trust you have,
And peace will always become your friend.
Hard to believe in this love we have?
Oh, but yes that's most certainly true!
And I hope, I really hope in your life;
