Heat Wave
Another day bleak and dreary,
While feeling weak and weary;
Overcast sky looks like rain,
Oh so much is such a pain.
Such a drag humidity so high,
As I release another sigh;
Making it feel even more hot,
Hard to find a nice cool spot.
But I will never give up hope,
And somehow be able to cope;
With another hot summer day,
That has come along my way.
Life has many things to endure,
Temptations that tend to lure;
On the straight and narrow path,
Sparing me later from the wrath.
This heat wave is for a few weeks,
But reassured when God speaks;
That patience helps to persevere,
When adversities seem so severe.
