Where is it mummy, Heaven?
Is it up in the sky?
Because I have to try and find it
But I cant and don't know why!
My teacher always told us;
That God id everywhere;
But mummy, how can that be?
Cos He doesn't seem to care!
Is Heaven full of nice people?
And you know when I die;
Will I see you in Heaven?
And do the people cry?
My priest always tells us…
That God is very good,
But why do people hurt?
And would He help if He could?
They told me that He's a good God,
And a kind God too!
But mummy, if He's a good God,
Why doesn't he help you?
You told me daddy is in Heaven;
And you said it's in the sky,
But you told me we won't see him again,
Mummy, is that why you cry?
If we will see him in Heaven,
Why are you crying so?
Does that mean we may not see him?
When it's time that we all go?
If I don't go to Heaven mummy,
Then just where will I be?
Will I go to the hell they talk of?
And will the devil hurt me?
I don't think I want to die mummy,
I don't think its very good,
Cos I want to stay with you forever,
Like my daddy should!
But God took him to Heaven,
When I was asleep in my bed!
And when I woke up, people whispered;
‘I'm sorry Johnny's dead!'
Why are they sorry mummy?
Why are they all so sad?
Cos you said to me when we die,
Nothing there is bad!
So if it's not a bad place;
Why don't you want daddy there?
And if he isn't there;
How will he know we care?
Can I phone daddy in Heaven?
Cos I didn't want him to go!
I need to tell him I love him!
So he will always know!
Mummy why are you crying,
Did I do something bad?
Is that why my daddy dies?
And why you are so sad!
I guess my mummy's very sad,
Because she told me to go away,
So I went up to my bedroom,
And I started to pray;
‘Dear God, are you there?
Can you tell my daddy for me?
That I need him home right now!
We miss him so much you see!
I cant stop mummy crying God,
And I don't know what to do,
So I'm wanting daddy back home!
That's why I'm asking you!
Cos my mummy always told me,
That you are very good…
So I'm hoping that today…
You'll bring daddy back if you could!
So God, I'm going to bed now,
But can you help my mummy get better?
I think you can, and that is why;
I'm now writing a special letter!
