A young prince sailed across the moon
To the elements of the night he was imuned
His only guide was the long haired elf
Who collected a costly fee for himself
The red carpet glided on its dark way
Following the tracks of a sultan's sleigh
The young man's wife had been kidnapped
By the jealous sultan who planned a trap
At the end of the marriage feast so grand
The sultan sent guards at his command
To steal the rich young prince's bride
Who in all her beauty laid at his side
She was gorgeous so young and spry
As in sleep's embrace they did lie
When the prince awoke he wanted to die
He summoned the old elf with a loud cry
The stars were bright in the black sky
Between the clouds the carpet raced by
The night's bright eyes looked everywhere
The young warrior sank slowly in despair
But a sharp shrill noise he then did hear
Clearly coming from the shadows very near
His breath was caught within his chest
Cold winds blew sharply from the West
So with no further thought of fear
He ordered the carpet to land there
The sultan layed dead under his sleigh
The scared bride had been thrown clear
Courage in their hearts saved the day
And with many tears they did pray
The young prince took his wife home in a hast
And they lived happily after that wild chase
