Poetry For Everyday People

Silent Good People

Don't you wish
you could brake
your silence,

shed the shell,
kiss your fantasy's,

we're quiet, polite,
considered,
of course according
to society, we have
no wildness, no sexual
thoughts going on in
our brains, not
out going, shy,

we're just
baby sitters,
designated drivers,
thinkers,
the one's with everyone
else's secrets, trust worthy
napkins,

don't they notice?
we're awesome friends,
with lives, feelings,

writing, reaching, hoping
you read between the lines,
hoping you'll unmask reality,
you'll figure out
the map, dust off a magic soul,
your genie, your answer,
the:  neon-lit-flashing-chance,

yet we walk with our
tattoo's, notebooks, guitars,
books, Halloween,
horrible at small talk,
brilliant in crisis, shoulders
to a world of tears, clapping
for your victory's, thumbs up
for your important moments,

don't you wish
you could brake
your silence,

and tell them,
hey, over here.
