Bus Ride

Two bags packed
one large one small
we board the bus
its final call

Such a long highway
too much time to think
the world I left
gone in a blink

Dreams have died
a tear slides down
one more bus stop
one more town

worldly possessions
all left behind
can't shake the memories
from my mind

The good the bad
now seems the same
life and death
is no game

No more abuse
thats not love
I have my daughter
to think of

She's all I need
we'll both be strong
the choice I made
isn't wrong

Our destination
a brand new start
with two packed bags
and one broken heart
