YOU COULD

You could say you like me
You must, you read what I write
You could say it's okay
That I dream of you at night

You could take away the guilt I feel
Say you'll always be my friend
You could say girl it will be real
Just write it with your pen

You could hold my hand
On some bright sunny day
You could understand
I want you in every way

You could take away my pain
With a little kiss
You could be my gain
Then you so much I wouldn't miss

When you communicate with me
I don't feel so alone
You could set me free
Like now, Monday morning at my home

Someday I'll be single
No marriage vows to tie my hands
Tell me with me you'll write and mingle
And someday we'll make future plans.
