Not To Be
The view from here,
It's not so great,
But you're convinced,
It's our fate.
Broken mirrors,
Predict tomorrow,
Confused and lost,
In pain and sorrow.
(Chorus 1)
Why can't you see,
We're not to be,
This isn't right,
Not you and me.
Please just go,
Don't make this hard.
Free me from this prison,
In which I am barred.
(Chorus 2)
I wonder why,
But you can't see,
This isn't right,
We're not to be.
There are those who are wrong,
There are those who are right,
I just won't do it,
I don't want to fight.
(Chorus 1)
Why can't you see,
We're not to be,
This isn't right,
Not you and me.
(Chorus 2)
I wonder why,
But you can't see,
This isn't right,
We're not to be.
