~Jack-In-The Box~
(Free Style)

Today my thoughts turn inside in and inside out
My brain refuses to open up far and wide as
I continue pushing painfully my way
Forward anyway  till I hit and crash against
the rocks down and deep far below
Words hard to catch  play  over and over like a
Jack-In-the box in my head as they go grinning fly.

My lady Muse just then runs away with him, dragging
Humpty Dumpty with her in this unexpected journey
Searching for more answers everyday, here she comes
and go slithering under any crack or any door
She devises anything to get me down to her own
intellectual level only when she's in the right mood
April memories juggle October fests, while satyr clowns made fun of
me,ridin' upon pink elephants scurrying all ov'r my lonely, secluded shores.
