Heart Of The Matter

My Dear Heart

My Dear Heart,
Oh, how I crave your sweet company,
Deep; into the late, late hour,
Soothing me with your songs of love,
And voicing,
Your innermost secret fantasies,

Let me be your fantasy, dearest heart,
And I shall grant your every desire,
For you, are my light and my love,
And I will wait eternally
For your tender touch,

My love, your wish is my command,
Take me to your castle in the air,
And together, let us watch in wonder,
As each virgin star explodes with passion,
And burns into the midnight sky,

Let the dark Knight be bathed in light,
Empowered and invigorated,
By his maiden's kiss,
Teasing and tempting,
The sweet mysteries of the night,

Yes love; you come in many guises,
My lonesome cowboy in the Prairie dust,
Sleepless under a star filled night,
Disturbed,
By a worn and restless heart,

The captain of my sailing vessel,
Strong and stern,
Carrying me safely on my voyage,
Steering me to safe waters,
Ever vigilant,
To the predators of the night,

Come, Prince of  Prose,
My sea captain,
My handsome Knight,
Fill my wearied mind with words,
Of joyous comfort,
And let us soar as an eagle in flight.
