The world is such a mess
Gun fire heard throughout the night
Innocents victims, asleep in their bed
Often get shot
No rhyme or reason
Bombs exploding in markets
In train stations
People killed, just trying to
make a living, go to school
Get home to their familys
Hatered and greed
damaging the hearts
the souls of our
children
In a world gone mad
Starving
Homelessness
Pain
Anger
Death
Present on every street
in every city
The World over.
I sit in my house
with a cup of coffee
early in the quiet of the morning
Birds sing their happy melodies
I open my blinds and look out
I look up at the sky
The most beautiful of blues
Pillows and pillows of white
fluffy clouds slowly, very slowly
meander their way to the west
The contrast so startling against the sky
It looks like someone painted them there
So perfect
I let myself stare at their beauty
I feel like if I walked outside
I could just climb on
and they would take me to places
unknown
Full of Unicorns prancing so proud
Only laughter heard in the crowds
Oceans and rivers, clear and serene
Fields and flowers
No hate
No greed
No Angels making it rain
with their angry tears
of what they see
Children playing safe and free
Boats floating lazily on a clear blue sea
Laughter and love
Enough of everything
for all I see
Happiness and glee
Thats what I want to see
Everyday with coffee in hand
As I look out my window
I turn away yet again
I realize
Nothing has changed
Everythings the same
But it was a nice dream
looking out my window.
