Poetry For Everyday People

Be Careful

I was wrong,
I needed some
time to think,
I didn't mean
the things I said,
I have grown a lot
in the past three month,

if you're familiar
with that rap, smoke,
BS donuts, meatless taco,

they always come back
for more, a little more
of your heart doesn't  mean
much to them, it's about
them, the mirror, self devotion,
I guess it comes from neglect,
growing-up in life, rather than
the north poll,

although I'm always looking to meet
you at the north poll,
Guinness stout fountains, hot chocolate
water falls, mountains of cinnamon, fire
works that rain shots of Sambuca, snow
Bunny's with powder tales,

I'll pour you Santa's wine,
candy cane you safe, peppermint
sex you in the most unusual ways?

stop believing the players, only fools
are in the game, there is a sun beneath
the ocean, gardens where roses speak,
flamboyant cup cakes dipped in, liquid
dreams,

I wanna save you
from the hurt,

I wanna tell you
he's about to hurt you bad,
she's about to take you for
a ride,

maybe I can save you
a heart beating,
maybe I can
save your love life, maybe I
can just scream loud enough

to
startle you.
