About Death
How I contemplate death,
Not just about a last breath;
Or cessation of our hearts,
But also as our soul departs.
Some say that in a dash,
Your entire life will flash;
All right before your eyes,
Exposing all of your lies.
Some say that you see a light,
And that it shines so bright;
As you are walking towards it,
You are greeted by a spirit.
Not just anyone rather of a kin,
Someone you held dearly within;
A cherished love when they died,
And has come to be your guide.
But all of this will only depend,
On your belief as you transcend;
If you kept your faith in the Word,
Trusting in all that you have heard.
