assigning the differences to numbers and colors,
the battles within your confused minds
need not take place in the battlefields
or corrupt streets
leaving the powerless to monger for power
and the powerfull to revoltingly
feel powerless to want more

Yellow elephants and you're searching for a unified metaphor
most seem to know the answer to but clearly don't
Day dreaming day dreamers
and heads in the clouds of royal meanings
a world war everyone working to prevent
like a curse for the soldiers to die screaming
when many play Jesus to give the rest of the evil away.
You tell yourself like they do
that you're right
and they are wrong
the only thing pushing the soldiers forward
is when they march
they have nowhere to run.
And anywhere they run to
is a witch hunt anyway,
either die trying to be a hero
who died for another man's lies
or die firing at one another whose lieing about truth
and your liars lies.
