Take away the happiness
Remove all thoughts of pain
Leave me with an emptiness
To flow deep within the vein
Take away the early morning
Cloud the very moon at night
Show me just this once, I plead
That this life isn't mine to fight
Take away each daily trial
That I can not face at best
Strip me of the burdens now
This heavy heart within my chest
Take away the aching bones
Watch this exhausted body fall
I am asking for a respite now
I beg of you, take it all
