A Moon For Me
Beyond a crescent Moon the stars are all a-waiting,
A bold farewell strikes the night; my journey in the making.
A sea of sadness spans across below a storm of fears,
All along my will is shaken; I hold it stern through tears.
The winds are strong and violent, I worry if I'll fail,
I'm far from all the safe-lit shores; with only this one sail.
But high above the darkened sky a lonely Sun still wars.
Fighting hard to show me hope; to help me mind my sores.
Suddenly the winds relieve ceasing all in silence.
Land exists out not far; I've proven my defiance.
My eyes belong to fortune and with her they'll always be,
For if I'm ever drifting, she still will sail with me.
