Lamenting A Great Kiss
Too much for one to bare,
Too grand and yet so cheap.
A simple thing to share,
A bargain that is deep.
Let all these eyes fall dark,
Let lesser men betray.
Passion makes its mark,
Where wiser fools once lay.
Upon a field that crested,
Upon a shining dawn,
A feral creature feasted
A majesty soon gone.
Of all the memories that are missed,
Of the jewels that now are dull.
That moment of a faithful kiss,
Should have never found a stall.
