There lies among a better path,
The crumbs of those who failed.
Those who tried or fell too fast.
Those who sing their somber tales.
How they wear such welcome faces,
Smiling as you dare to pass.
In their pocket lies their hope.
A wimsy blade or piece of glass.
Never should you trust the words,
Or pleas of broken men.
They're ventures left them here to mark.
Where fools may find their end.
A better path may prove to you,
A world that's worth the taking,
Though mistakes may crack the heart.
The journey's worth the breaking.
