God Knows Best
Time moves so slow,
When no place to go;
Especially of the rain,
Onto the window pane.
But hearing the sounds,
On the roof it pounds;
It giving peacefulness,
Like God's blessedness.
It is soothing to the ear,
As rain drops that I hear;
It relaxes me as the sighs,
Weighted upon my eyes.
Nearly a hypnotic state,
Causing sleep to initiate;
Even thunder can't shake,
Of this slumber to awake.
God knows that it is best,
For me to get more rest;
As to be better prepared,
In anything He declared.
