They say in life we feel different emotions,
And yes we know that's right,
Sadness, happiness, hurt and pain;
And heartache so out of sight!
I was told loneliness is bad for you,
And it's better to be with another,
But I'd had loneliness for years,
But now I was staying alone without bother!
I didn't want a man in my life,
To cause me anymore pain;
So I made my choice, the right one for me,
And I made my life good once again!
As for loneliness, what can I tell you?
Yes, its there and it pains us too,
But loneliness isn't all that you know!
Because there's always plenty to do!
So I got on with my happy life,
And enjoyed the stress free time I had,
I loved the peace and the quiet,
Without shouting and screaming so bad!
Peace was all I wanted in life,
And of course, to be stress free;
So I got out, and ran for my life,
For the pain inside me was killing me!
And no, I never felt loneliness;
It didn't bother me in the least,
Because I had all I wanted and needed in life;
A blissful life of peace!
Then of course I met my Rich,
Who showed me a different life!
Full of happiness, sunshine and love,
A life in which there is no strife!
So I got happy, I fell in love,
And oh what a love so sublime;
For there he is, forever more,
And we are together till the end of time.
Then recently when he had gone home,
I had a feeling I wasn't sure about,
Then I pondered on how I felt,
And I worked that feeling out!
Loneliness…I was feeling so lonely,
But not in the normal way
For how could I ever be lonely?
When my Rich was in my life to stay!
No, I was simply lonely for my Rich,
When we are apart it hurts so…
And I always feel a sense of loss,
When it comes the time for him to go!
But this loneliness is a different kind;
I'm not lonely in the normal way,
It's because I miss my Rich so much,
When he has to go away!
I felt it tug at my heartstrings,
And oh, I felt so sad and alone;
But then I told myself off, a lot!
And told myself he'd soon be home!
And now when I get that alien feeling,
Of being alone and sad,
I remind myself my Rich will be back,
And then I don't feel so bad.
And meanwhile we do what we have to do,
And be together when we can!
Go with the flow, for I tell you this;
I have the love of a wonderful man!
And he is worth the wait, oh yes,
And the pain of being apart!
Because pretty soon we'll be united forever,
With one beat of our heart!
And when we are finally united,
When our two hearts come together;
We can walk through life in peace and love,
Two hearts united forever!
And now if those lonely feelings;
Rear their head once again in my heart,
I'll chase them from my mind, banish them;
And remember our brand new start!
And it doesn't matter when that is,
For we are only a train journey away…
So I and my Rich are together whenever…
And for now, that's how it will stay!
So loneliness! Nah, not really,
Just a feeling of a need to be…
Together in his arms forever,
Of course, just as we should be!
