I Gave You All I Had

For you, I've  crossed unforsakened lands,
just to be at you your door steps once again,
but with the opening of the door,
I found myself in abandoned rooms.

Still, I sensed your essence,
but could not see,
the one who was devoted to me,
and left me with no respect.

I would have traveled the world
in search of your love.
But I gave you all I had,
and you turned your back on me.

Now, I stand alone,
amongst haunted memories,
of you and me,
and how it used to be.

Some day, you may feel lonely,
and think of me, now and then,
but our destiny was broken,
when I gave you all I had,
and you turned your back on me.
