It was love at first sight,
It just happened one night,
Was it April?
Or was it September?
The new moon was bared
We just stood and stared,
Ah, that night,
We would always remember,
I recall you were cool,
You were playing the fool,
And I laughed, how I laughed,
At your game,
You sang a sweet song,
That somehow seemed too long,
And you omitted,
To tell me your name,
You bought me a drink,
Then a nod and a wink,
Took us both,
In the back of your car,
We were young, we were free,
It was just you, and me,
Trying to stop you,
From going too far,
It was love at first sight,
The future looked bright,
Was it April?
Or was it September,
I recall, at the time,
That you wrote me a rhyme,
But I'll be damned now,
If I can remember.
