Absent Minded

The Dream

I see into your eyes
and down the cooridor
of the house built like a maze
riddles behind the paintings
and safes behind the walls
clues in every room
and statues in the garden

I won't leave you here
come with me
i found a clue and i think
it has to do with that room
i think it leads to that statue
it's tied to a key.

And the book wrote itself
the wizard turned the page
blinded by the wisdom and reason
built the house for the children to play in

The oracle was a toy
who spoke in riddle

Down secret passages in the dungeon
there's a prisoner
and your dad
doesn't want you to go there
he was caught stealing

Mother's on the kitchen cooking supper
writing in her diary.
