Bond

Pull the string,
let go old ties;
spirit of past
to it's demise
Bond no longer,
knot untied,
as it's future
is denied

Frazzled ends
repair with care
to create
a new bond there
You and I,
with mended heart,
make a slow
deliberate start

Secure the knot
our hearts entwine
The bond is, now,
yours and mine
Tied with heartstrings,
secured with love,
the knot, a bond,
blessed from above
