Communication

I love the English Language:
It's the only one I speak
But more and more these days
It seems to be turning to Greek.
Luminaries appear on television
And they waffle and they waffle
And the phraseology that they use
Seem made to bemuse and baffle.
The respect that they receive
Seems to be so very immense
Varying inversely with their
Content of common sense.
Sadly this abuse of language
Is daily growing more rife
Having now greatly invaded
Every aspect of our life.
It is not allowed these days
To say a person isn't very tall
They are vertically challenged
It's just not PC to say small.
We used to have road haulage
But we have logistics now;
One is much reminded of the proverb
Of silk glove and  piece of sow.
I love the English Language:
It's the only one I speak
But more and more these days
It seems to be turning to Greek.
